Vitaly Moiseev is a UK-based contemporary artist whose practice brings together painting, relief, engraving, gilding, and tactile surface. Over many years of experimentation with material, light, and sculptural form, his work has developed into Emboss Art — a contemporary visual language in which painting gains physical presence beyond the flat surface.

Artistic Practice

  • Between 2000 and 2025, Vitaly Moiseev developed an extensive independent practice across sculptural surfaces, gilding techniques, decorative relief, and bespoke commissions for private interiors, including works created for private collectors and yacht interiors.

  • This long period of experimentation with texture, surface, light, and handcrafted materials formed the foundation for Emboss Art — a sculptural painting approach in which image, relief, and spatial presence come together.

  • His current practice explores the relationship between form, silence, light, and tactile surface through layered contemporary painting.

  • Emboss Art is not an applied decorative method, but a visual language in which surface, relief, and image become inseparable.
